Van Build
Luxury Stealth Conversion
Ford Transit 250, High Roof, Ext Body
Frequently Asked Questions
Are you a dealer or is this a dealership?
No! I am Greg Milligan, a private builder, and passionate about van conversion. I provide services including design, build, and phone consultation. I occasionally convert vans and sell them. This is my third such conversion. If I can assist you in anyway, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Do you do custom builds?
Yes, I am open to helping others design and build their conversion. Ask me about how I might help you on your build. A consultation can help a lot in the beginning stages. I am here to help.
How many vans have you converted?
This is my 3rd conversion. Also, I worked in the building trades for almost 20 years. I have been a carpenter, a plumber and an electrician (not a “handyman”). I owned an electrical company for 8 years, doing residential and commercial work.
I can’t imagine doing a full-on conversion without real-world building experience. I know many do, some even with a certain success. Just make sure to have a fire extinguisher on hand. 🙂
Van Design Requirements
Summary
This van was built and designed with a Digital Nomad in mind. It provides several flexible work environments, depending on mood. Everything is easily accessible, so a table or bed or comfy lounge chair are just a few moves away. Though comfort is chief in the build, stealth is still kept in mind, for catching some rest or all out van camping when in town.
Work Space
The Consultant needs comfortable work spaces with flexible office configurations.
Stealth
The Consultant should be able to park overnight in urban environments without drawing attention.
Lounge Area
The bed/sofa chair should be a zero gravity type configuration that can absorb the stress of the day.
Easily Converted
The bed, lounge and office should be simple and quick to convert. No disassembling tables or seats to make the bed. Easy, one step, single action configuration.
Roomy Garage
The Consultant is designed to support long term work & dwelling. Therefore a roomy garage with ample storage is essential.

A Few Van Highlights
Quality Electrical
This van features a state of the art electrical system, using the highest quality components, including Victron & Magnum. It is wired with 12 Gauge (stranded) for all 12 Volt systems and 12 gauge (solid core) for all 120 Volt runs. The batteries are Battle Born lithium, which means no maintenance, 100% usable range, and draw down to zero with no problems.
Triple Insulation
The Consultant is triple insulated for ultimate comfort. It starts with Noico sound dampening on 75% of exposed metal. This is followed by Thinsulate for more acoustic dampening and temperature insulation. This is topped off with EZ-Cool, which acts a a thermal barrier and keeps out heat and cold.
Fine Cabinetry
All cabinets and drawers are made from high quality Baltic Birch plywood. They have a off-white painted exterior and a natural clear sealed interior, for a warm and high quality look and feel.
Home Comforts
Toasty warmth from integrated diesel heater. Large upright refrigerator for easy access to food. Vent and Skylight create healthy cross ventilation. Comfortable zero gravity style lounge chair for movie viewing.
Easy Lounge & Bed Conversion
A primary goal in this build was a simple and quick bed to lounge conversion and visa-versa. Switch between bed and lounge with a single easy action. It takes 1 or 2 seconds to convert. This video shows the conversion.
Versatile Garage Space
We all have different needs in our ideal van. This garage space can be a cabinet with full-length drawers and 500 pound drawer slides, or an open space with drawers removed. The open garage can be used to store bikes, snowboards, skies, surf boards, or just utility containers.

Flexible Workspace Configurations
A spacious and flexible work environment was an important design element. There are two separate work areas. One at the passenger swivel seat and the other in the primary office space. An adjustable Lagun table, with multiple attachment points, enables a variety of workstation configurations to best suit any user’s needs and style.
Slide-Out Porta Potty
Easy to slide out, use and slide back. Keeps Toilet concealed and out-of-way, yet still easy to access when needed. Surprisingly odor-free, even after use and waste storage.
Boondock Shower
Van dwellers often use 24 Nautilus or similar service for cleaning up, when in urban environments. However, when boondocking, it is nice to have a warm water shower. The van’s faucet flips around to become a pull-down outdoor warm water shower.
Also, shows some of the other sink features and functions.
Dedicated Storage
When living in a small space organization is paramount. Everything in its own place, type of rule. The dedicated storage built into The Consultant achieves this.
Diesel Heater
This diesel heater produces a dry heat and keeps the van toasty and dry in the winter months. It has an internal timers which can be preset, providing heat when it is needed and otherwise off. It also has both a mounted control panel and a remote dongle, for easy operation. Has a separate dedicated diesel fuel tank in the garage.
Storage Galore
It is easy to run out of room in a van. This van has enough storage to avoid this problem. Both dedicated and general storage options, provide plenty of room for what you need.
